Enjoy the unseasonably warm temperatures. Winter is on the way.

Despite possible record high temperatures expected for Christmas Eve, Dave Nicosia, warning coordinator for the National Weather Service in Binghamton says, "winter is lurking."

We'll ring in 2016 with closer to normal temperatures. Nicosia says the first days in January, the colder weather will begin. We may even finally see some snow in Central New York in the next few weeks.

2015 will end with recording breaking Christmas Eve temperatures. Syracuse will be in the upper 60's, almost 10 degrees warmer than the record of 58, set in 1965.
