Winter Storm Warning Continues Until 1 in Oneida County, 7 in Herkimer County

Old man winter may have gotten a late start but he has more than made up for it with a heavy blast of snow that has dropped between 6-8 inches of the white stuff (more in some spots) overnight with more on the way. The National Weather Service has extended the winter storm warning until 1pm for Oneida County and 7pm in Herkimer County. Here is the latest forecast.
Today Snow. The snow could be heavy at times. High near 29. Northeast wind 9 to 15 mph becoming northwest in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 90%. Total daytime snow accumulation of 3 to 5 inches possible.
Tonight Snow showers. Low around 23. Northwest wind 10 to 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.
Friday A chance of snow showers. Cloudy, with a high near 28. West wind 8 to 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
