The statue honoring Willie Nelson was officially unveiled Friday in Austin, Texas. Some 2000 spectators watched as the statue--privately funded by a local arts group--showing Willie is a casual  pose with his guitar by his side was unveiled. After the ceremony Willie serenaded the crowd with his newest song "Roll Me Up and Smoke Me When I Die", a tune dedicated to one of his favorite "weeds". Check out the unveiling ceremony.

Austin Mayor Lee Leffingwell accepted the  statue for the city saying,

"He is the man who more than other made Austin the live music capital of the world," Leffingwell said.
