Remember playing tag, Red Rover, musical chairs and Duck Duck Goose at recess? In winter, it was a good ole fashion snow ball fight. Now, some schools are banning all those games because they don't want to hurt kid's feelings. Say what?!

Enough is enough. First it was participation medals for everyone. Now we're banning tag and musical chairs. What's next? No more marbles?

Schools say aggression, competition and losing contribute to injuries and hurt feelings. Well boo-hoo. Buck up! If you can't lose at a game of tag you won't win in life. Life is hard and everyone doesn't win as long as they try their best. Nothing is handed to you, you have to earn it.

Having a winner and loser builds character. The bumps, bruises and sometimes broken bones tell a story. If you don't come out on top, try harder. This is the reason some kid's today act entitled and react badly when they don't get what they think they rightly deserve.

Pittsburg Steeler James Harrison actually took his son's participation medals away because he wanted them to earn it. "Sometimes your best is not enough, and that should drive you to want to do better, not cry and whine until somebody gives you something to shut you up and keep you happy."

Life is not about how many times you get knocked down. It's about how many times you get back up. So Red Rover, Red Rover bring the losers over.
