Who To Tip For Christmas

Pollywog and me were talking about the practice of tipping for Christmas recently and it brought up a good question. Who, exactly, should we tip? A lot of service providers depend on tips for their livelihood and look forward to a little something extra around the holidays as a thank you for their efforts during the past year. MSN contributor Liz Pulliam Weston has come up with a useful guide.
Here are a few examples.
Holiday tipping suggestions
Baby sitter
One evening’s pay, plus a gift from your child
Barber
Cost of one haircut
Beauty salon staff
Cost of one salon visit
Day care provider
A gift from you, or $25 to $70, plus a gift from your child
