One of the greatest voices of our time has been silenced.  Whitney Houston passed away at the age of 48 on the eve of musics biggest night, the Grammy Awards.  She was found in her hotel Saturday February 11th at 3:55pm PT according to PopCrush.com.

The cause of the singer’s death was not disclosed as of press time, but it’s assumed her party habit, as evidenced by the events from a Grammy party earlier this week, may have contributed to her health and ultimately, her death.

When I was growing up, not only did I idolize her music, but I must have watched 'The Bodyguard' a hundred times.  She delivered one of the most amazing National Anthem's in history. Ironically, Whitney also made a list I created a few weeks ago about celebrities surprisingly still alive.  She will be missed.
