When Is It Time To Get A Christmas Tree?

Thanksgiving 2012 is now a wonderful memory. The hustle and bustle of “Black Friday” is behind us. Now our thoughts turn to the upcoming Christmas holiday and all its traditions. One of the most popular is choosing the tree that will be decorated and enjoyed throughout the Christmas season. The question is when to get it?
Some people like to cut their own trees while other head for one of the many Christmas tree stands that pop up this time of year. YNN found one local business, Candella’s of Marcy, that is ready for the rush.
“We start in the fall getting ready with ordering the product, but also, we start hitting it hard the week of Thanksgiving with getting the fresh trees in,” Candella family member Shawna Candella-Papale said. When you pick out a fresh tree,” she said “You want to be sure it has good green color, you want to run your hand along the bow to be sure that none of the needles come off. You also want to be sure you take that fresh cut and put it into fresh water.”
