What Did We Find On The Ground In Marcy?

While out hiking in the hot summer Sun in Marcy New York, we found this strange stuff on the trails. What in the world is it?

It was on a trail in Marcy on a bunch of gravel. It seemed very wet, and squishy. It also had a small odor to it as well.
