Jason Robinson is a 12-year-old from Westmoreland and recently he received a huge honor! The U.S. Olympic Committee selected him for "The Spirit Award" for his accomplishments in adaptive sports. Jason is a remarkable kid whom I am honored to know. He was born with Spina Bifida and he is confined to a wheelchair, well at least until he decides to get up and walk on his own with the use of crutches. I have seen this young man inspire other children and even adults.

Jason received his award on Thursday at Syracuse University. The school is hoping to bring an adaptive sports tournament to Central New York. News Channel 9 in Syracuse interviewed Jason about his journey.
