Wendy’s Now Second Favorite Hamburger Chain [VIDEO]

Wendy’s has taken over second place on the national hamburger chain list dropping Burger King to number three. According to USA Today McDonalds still sits atop the list with sales of over $34 billion last year compared to $8.5 for Wendy’s and $8.4 for Burger King. Despite overtaking Burger King the people at Wendy’s are working overtime to improve their product.
Wendy’s also been on a mission to reinvent itself as a higher-end hamburger chain with new items such as Dave’s Hot ‘N Juicy burger, introduced last fall. CEO Emil Brolick has called the Dublin, Ohio-based company’s poor performance in recent years “self-inflicted wounds” and laid out plans in 2012 to raise standards for employees and update stores with an airier, more modern look.
