Ways Parents Embarrass Kids Changing

Embarrassing your kids is part of being a parent. It's just one of the perks. But how we embarrass our kids has changed over the years with social media.

A new survey from Post Office Broadband shows 10 ways parents embarrass their kids and most are online. Leading the list is putting those child photos on social media.

Posting childhood photos. Check

Posting Holiday Pictures. Check

Posting embarrassing comments, excessively liking all posts, tagging in 'cringey' status updates, adding and following their friends on social media and posting private message publicly also made the list. Kids are also embarrassed when parents wait in sight when picking up from school, bad fashion sense, being caught in public together.

Luckily our daughter is beyond being embarrassed since we've been incorporating her into our radio show for years. I may be able to change that AND add another embarrassing thing to the list....posting unflattering pictures. And I'm not the only parent who does it either.
