Another Farm Hands visit teaches us more of the subtle differences in dairy farming. We visited the Fitch Farm in West Winfield where the family milks about 169 cows twice a day, raises their own heifers and may have the most gentle herd we've met.  Milking begins at 5 a.m. in a raised milking parlor that even has a poop tray that catches a majority of the manure.  While cleanup may have been a little easier, we found Polly lending more than just a hand, as she used the whole arm to artificially inseminate not one but two cows. And yes there's video.

The Fitch family received tickets to FrogFest July 23rd at the Utica Rome Speedway, presented by White’s Farm Supply and a $50 White’s Farm Supply gift card. They also go into the grand prize drawing for VIP FrogFest tickets and 100 hour rental from White’s Farm Supply. Nominate your farm below.
