We kicked off our 2nd year of Farm Hands, a weekly visit to CNY farms, with a visit to the Cluck Wagon in Ilion. This was one I couldn't wait for Polly to experience. My Grandfather raised chickens, a lot of chickens. So I knew there would be plenty of clucking and flapping and that was just from Polly. She didn't disappoint and neither did the chickens.

A big thank you to Traci DeLore, the Cluck Wagon's Mother hen for showing us the ropes of raising chickens for meat and eggs. And kudos to her husband, Mark who entered the Farm Hands contest without telling her.

When Traci isn't on the Cluck Wagon, you can find her at the Mohawk Farmer's Market on Wednesdays with fresh eggs and chicken. You can also follow The Cluck Wagon on Facebook.

The DeLore family received tickets to FrogFest July 23rd at the Utica Rome Speedway, presented by White’s Farm Supply and a $50 White’s Farm Supply gift card. They also go into the grand prize drawing for VIP FrogFest tickets and 100 hour rental from White’s Farm Supply. Nominate your farm below.
