Have you ever wondered where all the fish from the fish hatchery of Rome end up? 1 million Brown and Brook trout eggs hatch annually at the hatchery then are used to stock rivers, streams, lakes, and ponds in 11 counties throughout New York. How exactly do they transport that much fish?

There's a video going viral across New York of a Payne Sea Plane stocking small remote ponds in the Adirondacks with trout. We can't confirm the fish in this video came from the Rome Hatchery, but we would assume a similar process is used.

According to the video, sea planes have actually been used for fish stocking since the 40's in the Adirondacks. Also apparently a 100% survival rate is of the fish after they are dropped from the planes.
