Itching for spring to get here?  It may be well worth the wait as climatologists with the Northeast Regional Climate Center at Cornell University are predicting above normal temperatures.

Climatologist, Jessica Spaccio says the Northeast Region will have above normal temperatures in April, May and June.

“The entire Northeast Region has increased chances of above normal temperatures during these months. New England has the highest probability with a 60 to 70 percent chance of warmer than normal temperatures.

After last year's wet spring, it would appear this year's will be about normal.

“The Northeast has equal chances for above or below normal precipitation, indicating that near-normal amounts are expected. These outlooks are based on El Niño, which is weakening but still currently strong, dynamical models, and long-term trends.
