Not everyone is in the Christmas spirit. Someone broke into the Clarksville Volunteer Fire Company and vandalized the building, spray painting the apparatuses and ruining all the turnout gear and helmets. The company is down to an engine and tanker in service after $50,000 in damage.

Despite the damage members of the CVFC say 'we will prevail. This will not keep us from providing our professional level of service.'

There is $1500 reward for information leading to the arrest of the person or people responsible. Anyone with information is asked to please contact Chief Sharp or the NYS Troopers Amity barracks.

A relief fund is also being set up to help replace equipment. The company has already seen the kindness of others. 'The outpouring of help and support from the brotherhood and community is astonishing. We will power thru this and be even better, stronger and more proud than ever before.'
