Utica Police Warn Of Suspicious Driver Targeting Joggers

Utica Police are issuing a safety alert to joggers in the City of Utica following two separate incidents involving two women in South Utica.

According to WIBX, Police say the women were in the Higby Road area around 5:30 Thursday morning when a man stopped his vehicle and asked for directions. However, that quickly changed.

They say after the women gave him directions, the man began to proposition them and in one case, asked one of the women to get into his car. Both women ran away and the man drove away, but did circle the block. The man, who is a light skin African-American or Latino, could be driving either a tan car or Mercedes

Anyone with information is asked to call Utica Police at at 534-1229. Please be careful while out jogging in the city of Utica, or anywheres for that matter.
