Utica Police Advise On Avoiding Car Break-Ins
It’s happened to me and it’s probably happened to you or someone you know. You walk out to your car and find that it has been broken into. Sometimes it’s our own fault for leaving it unlocked but there are other times when a window has been broken or a lock picked. The Utica Police Department has listed some tips on avoiding car break-ins on their Facebook page. When my car was broken into a cell phone and loose change was taken. Other items that usually draw a thief’s attention are pocketbooks, laptops and GPS units. If you have been victimized it is important that you fill out a report at your local police agency.
