The Utica Comets have announced their debut on the Utica Memorial Auditorium ice. Mark your calendars for October 23rd. 

According to WKTV, the team announced that their home opener will take place part of the team's inaugural week on October 23rd.

The Comets will open their first season in the AHL on the road before coming home to play three games in four nights at the Aud. The big week will start with the opener on the 23rd, and continue with back-to-back games on Friday, October 25, and Saturday, October 26.

A full promotional schedule will be announced at some point today. October 23, 2013 mark s the first time that the Aud has housed an AHL game since April 10,1993.

 

Remington Arms Considering A Move Away from Hometown Ilion

Remington Arms, America's oldest gunmaker, seems to be considering a move away from the Herkimer County Village where it all started nearly 200 years ago. A report filed today in The Tennessean newspaper claims that Remington executives have been touring several sites in Nashville with the intention of moving a portion or all of their operations from Ilion.
