An update in the Christopher Dorner manhunt confirms that the police have indeed found charred human remains in the rubble of a burned down cabin in Big Bear, California. Dorner had eluded police for over a week leading to a massive manhunt and a $1 million dollar reward.

Tuesday afternoon Dorner once again clashed with California police officers, killing 1 and seriously wounding another. He then fled to a cabin in the mountains northeast of Los Angeles where police eventually closed in. After exchanging gunfire and ignoring calls to surrender, authorities moved in filling the cabin with tear gas and other devices sparking a blaze which burned for several hours. It is unclear how soon the remains will be identified, but the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department say they will attempt to identify the body "through forensic means."
