South Lewis High graduate Dylan Peebles has been signed to a pro contract by the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League this week.

The Watertown Daily Times reports Peebles, who graduated from South Lewis in 2011 signed the contract on Monday, shortly after helping to lead his current team - the SoCal Coyotes to an undefeated championship season in the Pacific Coast Football League.

The six-foot 225 pound running back played four years at SUNY Cortland where he was first-team All-American, All-Region, All-ECAC, and the nation’s active leader in kick return average.

Peebles has also played for the Cleveland Gladiators of the Arena Football League and was invited to minicamp for the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League.
