According to the experts, it's recommended that you bring along a few items when you're out in the elements, snowshoeing, and a backpack is the best way to carry them.

Items to take with you:

1. Water

2. Cell Phone

3. Sunglasses

4. Headband/wool hat

5. Lip balm

6. Trail snack (such as trail mix)
