We've talked about getting new born calves off to a healthy start, but how about Mom? Transitioning her from the parlor to calving can have an impact on her future production. Cornell Cooperative Extension will host a program with tips on best practices.

CCE Madison County will host the Winter Dairy Management program on Friday, March 4th at 10 a.m.

Experts from across the state will discuss Nutrition, Animal Behavior and Environmental Considerations and Cow-side Care and Decision Making during this year’s program.

4 different speakers will lead in-depth discussions about "Nutrition and Emerging Feeding Concepts, tips and management techniques to best serve individual cows."  The program runs from 10 to 2:30 with a Q & A at the end.
