The movie franchise of my generation is returning to the silver screen! Toy Story 4 has been confirmed by Disney CEO Bob Iger and is set to hit theaters the Summer of 2017. Toy Story 3 ended with an emotional send off as Andy left for college. Everyone believed this would be the end of the hit animated trilogy. However, there was always the thought when Woody and his friends ended up at a new home, that another film could happen. It really is happening!

John Lasseter, who helmed the first Toy Story movie in 1995—the world’s first computer-animated feature film—is returning to direct the new film, which opens a new chapter in the lives of Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and the Toy Story gang. The story was dreamt up by Lasseter, Andrew Stanton, Pete Docter, and Lee Unkrich, the storytellers who have been the driving force behind all three Toy Story films.

I can not wait until these beloved characters return for a whole new journey! Toy Story 4 is set to be released on June 16th, 2017!
