Tornado Watch Issued For Central New York
The National Weather Service in Binghamton has issued a Tornado Watch for most of Central New York until 10:00 tonight.
WUTR Chief Meteorologist Rachel Witter says a tornado watch means conditions are favorable for tornadoes to form within any severe thunderstorms.
The counties affected by the watch include Oneida, Madison and Herkimer.
The NWS says thunderstorms moving through the area may produce damaging winds, large hail, heavy rainfall and a possible tornado.
