It's National One Hit Wonder day. We take a look back at those songs that got stuck in your head, made you cringe or sing along, before the artists disappeared into oblivion.

1. Achy Breaky Heart - Billy Ray Cyrus

Billy Ray Cyrus hit #1 with Achy Breaky Heart in 1992 and although he released a number of songs after, none saw as much success.

2. I Loved Her First - Heartland

Talk about one and one. Heartland could never match the success of their first release. I Loved Her First not only hit #1, the song became a wedding anthem in 2006.

3. Dust on the Bottle - David Lee Murphy

David Lee Murphy released a number of songs but Dust on the Bottle was the only one to hit the top of the charts in 1995.

4. Daddy's Money - Ricochet

Ricochet could never match the success of Daddy's Money that hit #1 in 1996. They only had two other songs in the top 10.

5. Who I Am - Jessica Andrews

After Jessica Andrews hit the top of the charts with Who I Am, the closest she came was one single in the top 20.

6. Leave the Pieces - The Wreckers

Michelle Branch and Jessica Harp made up The Wreckers. The duo only released one album before breaking up, that produced one #1 song.

6. Yes - Chad Brock

Chad Brock's real life experience landed him a #1 song with Yes. He and his wife later broke up and his career went downhill as well.

7. Jeannie C Riley - Harper Valley PTA

Jeannie C Riley released several albums but could never match the success of her first song 'Harper Valley PTA' that hit #1 in 1968.

8. Kevin Sharp - Nobody Knows

Nobody Knows was Kevin Sharp's first release in 1996. Despite having several other singles, none could reach the top spot.

9. James Bonamy - I Don't Think I Will

Who? James Bonamy's I Don't Think I Will hit #2 on the country charts in 1996. He released a few other singles but they barely made the top 30.

10. Cyndi Thomson - What I Really Meant to Say

Cyndi Thomson only released one album that resulted in one #1 with What I Really Meant to Say.

Pop One Hit Wonders

Los del Rio - Macarena

Most songs hit the U.S. first and move into Canada when they become popular. The Macarena was one of the few that started north of the border and moved south at the same time I moved. I felt like it followed me and I was sick of it before I moved.

Baha Men - Who Let the Dogs Out

The Baha Men had only one hit with Who Let the Dogs Out. At first listen, it sounds like the dumbest song ever, but it'll grow on you.

Sir Mix A Lot - Baby Got Back

Oh my God! Sir Mix A Lot reached #1 with a song about butts in 1992. It was the only song that even charted

Tommy Tutone - 867-5309

It's hard to believe Jenny's Song (867-5309) only hit #4 on the charts. It was an 80s anthem for Tommy Tutone. It was also his only hit.

Right Said Fred - I'm Too Sexy

In 1991 the world was Too Sexy. Right Said Fred saw his only #1 single. I guess he was too sexy for the music business.
