Top 10 Irish Beers
With St. Patrick’s Day tomorrow, some of you in the 21 and over crowd may be toasting with an authentic Irish brew. With a name like Greg “Splashin’” McShea, I know a little about Irish beer, and first must say, green beer isn’t Irish, it’s just yellow beer with food coloring. So what are the top 10 Irish beers?

According to squidoo.com:
The top 10 Irish beers actually brewed in Ireland are:
“♦ Smithwick’s Irish Ale ♦
♦ Guinness Extra Stout ♦
♦ Beamish Irish Stout ♦
♦ Guinness Irish Draught ♦
♦ Murphy’s Irish Stout ♦
♦ Ohara’s Celtic Stout ♦
♦ Harp Lager ♦
♦ Kinsale Irish Lager ♦
♦ Murphy’s Irish Red ♦
♦ Kilkenny Irish Cream Ale ♦”
Now, you might have guessed that my favorite Irish beer doesn’t come from Ireland, but was made right here in Utica, New York at the F.X. Matt Brewery. For my Irish toast, it’ll be Saranac Irish Stout.
