Time To Put Up the Christmas Tree?

Thanksgiving has come and gone. The Christmas lights have been strung on the house and the festive lawn ornaments are slowly but surely popping up on neighborhood lawns. Now it’s time to put up the family Christmas tree. Or is it? Whether it is real or fake, tradition seems to dictate when to put up a Christmas tree and when to decorate it.If you have a real tree it is important to keep it watered lest the bristles fall off or become to weak to hold the ornaments. A fake tree requires less maintenance but may not bring out the spirit that traditionalists favor. The debate over “real” versus “fake” was summed up recently by John Stanley at our sister station WGNA in Albany.
