Happy March 1st. We made it through January and February, and now onto the home stretch as we approach spring. But, as Yogi Berra once said "It ain't over 'til it's over", so winter weather is still in the cards. There are a number of things we can look forward to in March.

Here's a list of March events you might want to take note of:

March 2 & 3 (Fri. & Sat.) - WIBX Slocum Dickson Heart Radiothon

March 11 (Sun.) -Daylight Savings Time Begins

March 14 (Wed.) - Big Frog 104's Intimate Acoustic Concert (Rome Capitol Theater)

March 17 (Sat.) - St. Patrick's Day (UticaParade & Syracuse St. Pat's Parades)

March 19 (Mon.) - St. Joseph's Day observance

March 20 (Tues. 1:14 a.m.) - First Day of Spring (Vernal Equinox and the earliest that spring has arrived in 116 years)

You may have a special March occasion - a birthday, anniversary or whatever. That reminds me:

March 9 (Fri.) - Greg "Splashin'" McShea's birthday (How could I forget)?
