Tim McGraw has partnered with the Academy of Country Music and Dick Clark Productions for 'ACM Presents: Tim McGraw's Superstar Summer Night,' a two-hour concert event that will be televised on CBS later this year.

McGraw handpicked all the special guests for the star-studded showing, which will feature artists from virtually every genre. The occasional actor also invited friends from the film and television industry to help celebrate the kickoff of the 2013 summer tour season.

"I hope I can help turn the fans on to some of the best live music that will be on the road this summer and really put a spotlight on the ones I know they won't want to miss," McGraw says in a statement. "I also feel a responsibility to help raise some money and awareness for ACM Lifting Lives and all the good work they do."

All proceeds from the collaborative event will go directly to the ACM Lifting Lives program, the charitable arm of the Academy of Country Music. 'Superstar Summer Night' is a repayment of sorts for McGraw, who paired with the goodwill organization for his 2011 Operation HomeFront program.

"They supported me last summer with our HomeFront program and helped me give away a house to a Veteran in need in every market we played in," McGraw says of his partnership. "I'm excited to get some of my friends together and repay the favor."

2013 is shaping up to be a busy year for the singer, who will release his new studio album, 'Two Lanes of Freedom,' on Feb. 5. The project features his hit single 'Truck Yeah' as well as his current Top 10, 'One of Those Nights.'

“Freedom’ is a powerful word,” McGraw says regarding the title of the record. “To come into a situation where there’s some weight lifted, some refreshment going on, you can feel that in the music. I think you can feel the horses gallop on this record, and where I might go and what I might do when my engines are revving.”

'ACM Presents: Tim McGraw's Superstar Summer Night' will be taped on April 8 from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. General public tickets will go on sale at 10AM PT on Jan. 25 at the ACM's official website.
