In a story that sounds like it belongs in Hollywood, thieves cut through a fence and drove onto an airport in Belgium to steal over $50 million in diamonds. The thieves were dressed in police uniforms and carrying submachine guns as they held up a pilot and security officials to steal the gems. It appears the robbers had some sort of inside information as they arrived exactly as a Brinks truck would load the property.

Very few details about the case have been uncovered and the only clue so far is the burned vehicle used to escape. This heist will go down as one of the largest diamond thefts in history and raise serious questions about how thieves so easily drove onto an airport in a major European city. The diamonds originated from Antwerp, Belgium, one of the world's leading diamond centers not far from Brussels.  Get more details on this story here.
