The Warm Winter of 2012 Continues
Spring doesn’t officially arrive until Tuesday but with the National Weather Service (NOAA) calling for temperatures in the 70′s today and for most of the upcoming week it seems like we have skipped that season entirely and jumped right into summer. The winter of 2011-12 has seen above normal temperatures and below normal snowfall but the recent warm spell has been exceptional. The average temp for today, March 18?
Would you believe 43 degrees? This weeks expected high temperatures are more like those in late May than mid-March and–if met–will probably set new records. Let’s just keep our fingers crossed that Mother Nature doesn’t pull a fast one and dump a late season snow storm on us this year.
