There is no doubt that this winter has been one of the coldest in many years, but it could always be worse. There are at least 5 cities in America that are colder then any place in Central New York.
Here are the Top 5 Coldest Cities in America according to The Weather Channel:
#5 - Caribou, Maine
The average annual temperature here is 39.7 degrees and they have a record low of -41 degress.

The average annual temperature here is 39.4 degrees and their record low is -50 degrees.

Gunnison has an average annual temperature of 38 degrees and a record low of 47 below zero.
At least they have some good skiing in Gunnison:
#2 - International Falls, Minnesota
In International there is an annual average temperature of 37.8 degrees and their record low temperature is -55 degrees.
