The Royal Date Has Been Set

Prince William and Kate middleton will get married April 29th next year, which is a Friday.  The Royal Family chose Friday instead of Saturday in case others were planning to get married that weekend.  Who'd want to tie the knot in London the same day as Prince William.

Kate Middleton will get to walk down the aisle of Westminster Abby, the iconic London church where Princess Di's funeral was held.
With today's technology, more people around the globe will be able to watch and get updates on the Royal Wedding.  750 million watched the ceremony of Princess Di while 600 thousand more lined the streets to catch a glimpse of Diana enroute to her wedding in 1981.  Twitter and Facebook better be prepared for the onslaught of tweets and posts next April 29th.
