The Guy Who Crossed Niagara Falls on Tightrope Will Cross Grand Canyon

Remember 34-year-old NIK WALLENDA? He's the first person ever to cross NIAGARA FALLS on a tightrope. Now, he's announced his next stunt.

On June 23rd, he's going to cross the GRAND CANYON on a tightrope. And he won't wear a safety harness, like the one he had on when he crossed Niagara Falls.He'll be about 1,500 feet in the air and walk about 1,500 feet across the Grand Canyon. He's been practicing with wind machines blasting him so he can prepare for the conditions he'll probably face. Does this guy have a death wish or something?

Discovery Channel will air it live. They outbid ABC for the rights.
