While many people will say how much they love Darius Rucker's new song, "Wagon Wheel," it seems to upset some.  The song was originally recorded by Old Crow Medicine Show and that seems to be what stirs the controversy.  Click to watch the videos of both versions and their performance together, then tell us which one you like best.

Wagon Wheel was originally just a lyric stuck in Bob Dylan's head and may have started  even farther back than that with some old blues musicians.  Many people credit the song as the signature tune for Old Crow Medicine Show.  Here's their version.

Darius Rucker says he heard the song a long time ago and didn't get it, but that all changed when it was performed at his daughter's school talent show,

"We were watching my daughter, and the faculty band gets up. It’s just the faculty from her school, and they play ‘Wagon Wheel.’ I’m sitting in the audience, and they get to the middle of the chorus, and I turned to my wife, and I go, ‘I’ve got to cut this song.’ I’m serious. This all happened in three-and-a-half minutes, four minutes, while they’re playing the song."

Here's darius's version.

Last July, while performing at the Grand 'Ol Opry, Old Crow Medicine Show brought Darius Rucker out to perform the song with them.
