The Band Perry to Perform at Rockefeller Christmas Tree Lighting
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas for the Band Perry.
The country trio will be on hand Wednesday night (Dec. 2) to help celebrate the Rockefeller Christmas tree lighting in New York City. The band of siblings will perform as part of the annual festivities, and they couldn't be happier.
"SO excited to announce we'll be performing at the #RockCenterXMAS lighting," the trio captioned a photo on Instagram, showing the famed tree from a previous tree lighting ceremony.
This year marks the 83rd annual lighting of the Rockefeller Christmas tree and the 18th televised lighting. In addition to the Band Perry's performance, Sting, James Taylor, Mary J. Blige, Andrea Bocelli, Andy Grammer, Carly Rae Jepsen and Pentatonix will also be on hand and grace the stage to sing live from New York's Rockefeller Center.
This year's tree comes from Gardiner, N.Y. and is a 78-foot tall Norway Spruce. The 80-year-old tree will be adorned with more than 30,000 lights.
Christmas in Rockefeller Center will air live Wednesday at 8PM ET on NBC.
