We have long been aware of the danger texting while driving poses. Now we are becoming equally aware of the pitfalls of texting while walking. The most recent case of text-walking ending badly came this week when an Indiana women, Bonnie Miller, fell into a river connecting to Lake Michigan while walking along a pier. According to ABC News57 in South Bend the woman was rescued by her husband an an on-looker. Hurt? No. Embarrassed?

“I had set an appointment for the wrong time and so I sent about three words,” Miller described.  “Next thing you know it was the water. I’m really quite embarrassed."

Despite the embarrassment Miller decided to go public with this explanation.

“I couldn’t let pride stand in my way of warning other people to not drive and text or walk and text,” Miller explained.  "It can be dangerous."
