Teen Pulled From The Barge Canal In Marcy

A 14-year old boy swimming in the Barge Canal near Barnes Avenue in Marcy had to be rescued after he went underwater.

The Oneida County Sheriff's Office says the teen was swimming with a group of frends when he went under for an unknown reason.

Members of the Utica Fire Department pulled him from the water and took him to the hospital.

As of late Sunday night, the boy's condition was unknown.
