Taylor Swift First Artist Since the Beatles To Have Three Consecutive Albums At #1 For 6 Weeks

Another week another accomplishment for the incredible Taylor Swift. Her “Red” album sits atop the Billboard 200 LP charts for the 6th consecutive week making her the first to have 3 consecutive studio albums stay in the top spot that long since the Beatles. According to Yahoo Music only 2 other acts have ever done this.
The Kingston Trio had 4 albums stay atop the charts that long back in 1959-60 while Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass accomplished it in 1965-66. Taylor’s “Fearless” album rode the number one spot for 11 weeks while “Speak Now” stayed on top for 6. Pretty good company wouldn’t you say?
