Living in the Empire State, we are surrounded by a number of  food and beverage growers and producers. We've got everything from sausage makers to wineries and breweries, and you can sample many of these homegrown products at Taste NY Harvest Fest, this weekend at the NYS Fairgrounds in Syracuse.

"Governor Andrew M. Cuomo announced that tickets are now on sale for the Taste NY Harvest Fest at the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse, which will provide visitors with an opportunity to sample and purchase some of the best foods and beverages in the entire state. The event takes place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, November 2 and from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, November 3 in the Horticulture Building.

Dozens of companies from around the state will be on hand, from well-known brands such as Syracuse's Dinosaur Bar-B-Que and Gianelli Sausage, McCadam Cheese of Chateaugay, and Utica's F. X. Matt Brewing Company, to companies aiming to gain better household recognition, such as Rome Grown Garlic of Rome, Ma Poole's Chutney of Skaneateles, Roger's Rustic Rubs & Sauces of Hudson Falls, and Hungry Bear Farms of Middlesex.

Many makers of wine, beer, and spirits will also be on hand.

Tickets are on sale now- $15 for tickets purchased in advance or $20 at the door."
