It's hard to believe Jack Nicholson is retiring. He's apparently suffering from memory loss at age 76 and has decided his acting days are over. His last film was ‘How Do You Know’ in 2010 with Raul Rudd and Reese Witherspoon.

Jack has the most Oscar nominations with 12 -8 for Best Actor and 4 for Best Supporting Actor. He's received a nomination in every decade from the 60s through the 2000s, winning in 1976, 1984 and 1996 for ‘One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest,’ ‘Terms of Endearment’ and ‘As Good As It Gets.'

Let's take a look back at the best of Jack.

Colonel Nathan R. Jessep in a 'Few Good Men' 1992

Jack Torrance in 'The Shining' 1980

Jack Napier - The Joker 'Batman' 1989

Melvin Udall 'As Good As It Gets' 1997

Francis "Frank" Costello 'The Departed' 2006

Robert Eroica Dupea 'Five Easy Pieces' 1970

Garrett Breedlove 'Terms of Endearment' 1983

Randle Patrick "Mac" McMurphy 'One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest' 1975

What's your favorite Jack role? I'd have to go with Melvin in 'As Good As it Gets.'  He played the perfect grumpy old man with OCD.  No wonder he won an Oscar for that role.

Did Jennifer Lawrence get hit on by Jack Nicholson during a post- Oscar interview? She was talking with George Stephanopoulos after winning her Oscar and Jack Nicholson came up and started hitting on her. Isn't he old enough to be her father, or even grandfather.
