If there is a "sure-fire" don't miss charity event in the Utica-Rome area, it's Epicurean Delight.  The fundraiser for Hospice and Palliative Care, returns for the 28th year Hart's Hill in Whitesboro April 19 from 5 to 8.  Tad and Polly also return as this year's honorary chair couple. So why should you attend?

First and foremost, Hospice is great service that you hope you never need, but if a family member does, you're so thankful for their guidance and help.  Find out about their services for Oneida, Herkimer, eastern Madison Counties.

The second reason to go is a food delight like no other.  26 of CNY's finest restaurants preparing special dishes especially for Epicurean Delight all for just $40.  While the restaurant's all battle for the coveted awards of the night, most are there because hospice has touched their lives, including Tim Hardiman, owner of Tailor & The Cook, last year's People Choice winner. "It's a lot more important than defending the title. That's the icing on the cake for us. Hospice is a great community organization that has benefitted my family," Hardiman explains

Hardiman says isn't sure what they'll be serving this year, "the menu is still in the works," but they will have their famous cheesecake made with cheese from the Jones family farm. Hardiman prides himself on using all local foods in his restaurant. "It's Important to know where your food comes from and it's important to keep your dollars local."

There's also a number of auction items to bid on from jewelry, wine, home decor and more.
