Oneida County Public Market–Zach’s Weekly Snaps [PHOTOS]

Last year at this time, I visited the Oneida County Public Market for the first time. Since it has expanded, I have not visited. Saturday was a nice day and I needed produce, so I decided to visit the public market once again. And, I'm glad I did. It has everything for every taste. There's, of course, fruits and vegetable and there's jewelry, bread, honey, cheese, meat, crafts and even fresh-squeezed lemonade. The Oneida County Public Market is open Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Utica's Union Station. Today, I would like to share with you my photos from my trip to the public market. New Website Showcases Utica’s Beauty

Recently, USA Today took America on a photo tour of Utica titled "Tough times in Utica". It depicted Utica in an apparent state of disrepair highlighting graffiti and old buildings--the pictures were also taken on a cloudy day nonetheless. The photos were not only seen by USA Today readers, but also readers of the Albany Times-Union saw the photos with the title "Utica struggles". Now, a few days after those photos were published, a new website has emerged to not show the "though times" in Utica, but rather, it embraces the beauty Utica has to offer.

Today is Limerick Day. Yes, a day to celebrate the form of poetry with a very distinct rhyming scheme. A limerick follows this pattern: AABBA. Meaning, the last words of lines one, two and five have to rhyme and the last words in lines three and four have to rhyme. So, to test out my poetry skills, I have decided to celebrate today by writing a limerick about Utica.
