For the past several years, we Central New Yorkers have adopted Utica College (my alma mater) hockey teams as our own. Season after season, the Pioneers have packed them in at the Utica Memorial Auditorium, and now they'll have a chance to continue that for the next five years.

They have become world famous for their entertaining basketball antics and continue to thrill audiences around the world, the amazing Harlem Globetrotters. It was on this day, January 7, 1927 that the Globetrotters played their first game in Hinckley, Illinois. Now in their 85th year the team will be making its annual local appearance next month.

Luke Bryan is going from opening up for Tim McGraw this summer to headlining this fall's CMT On Tour. And he's coming to Utica. Josh Thompson, Lee Brice and the winner of 'CMT's Next Superstar,' Matt Mason will join Luke to promote Lukes new CD 'Tailgates & Tanlines' out August 9th.
