The Texaco Country Showdown started July 6th at Sylvan Beach and now 6 weeks later the preliminary round winners face off with the winner going to the state finals.  The Showdown is the nation's largest country music talent search and how many of today's stars got their start.

Is it me or has it rained 72 Wednesdays in a row?  Okay so it is me, but we finally have a beautiful night for the final Texaco Country Showdown preliminary round at Sylvan Beach tonight brought you by Claycomb Auto Sales.  Four contestants will vie for the last spot in the finals to be held next Wednesday night, August 24.

Round two of our Texaco Country Showdown saw more great local talent from Central New York. Plus, it was nice to get-away and enjoy some cooler breezes off Oneida Lake at beautiful Sylvan Beach. Check out the videos from the night's performances.

Big Frog 104's Texaco Country Showdown, the largest national country music talent search is back at Sylvan Beach tonight at 6.  And immediately following at 7, is  New York State Country Music Hall of Famer, the George Lamb Sr band.  If you missed the first Showdown preliminary round, check out the videos.
