"Tis the season to be jolly". That phrase should be kept in mind when battling traffic at local shopping malls. The aggravation caused by long lines and drivers not obeying signals is most evident at two of the areas busiest shopping centers, Sangertown Mall and Consumers Square, both located off Commercial Drive in New Hartford.

The New Hartford police substation inside Sangertown Square Mall is generally a place of low activity except perhaps to deal with the occasional shoplifter. But today the police presence was high after an unspecified threat that ‘the next attack with be…at Sangertown.’
