"Deck the halls with boughs of....Reba?" You bet. The amazing Ms. McEntire is adding a line of Christmas ornaments to her product line which already includes clothes, shoes, bedding, home furnishings and furniture.
The sounds of Christmas music and the smell of a scented Colonial Candle. It is a combination that will be hard to beat this holiday season as the candle maker has teamed up with Big Machine Records artists Reba McEntire, Rascal Flatts and Martina McBride among others to offer a special holiday CD and candle gift set.
Reba and Blake Shelton are giving back to their home state. Their tornado relief concerts raised 500 thousand dollars for Oklahoma. They played two sold-out shows last week, singing duets and providing harmony on each other's hits. Their only solo numbers came during the encore, with Shelton going it alone for "Ol' Red" and Reba taking the spotlight for "Fancy." Kelly Clarkson even stopped by for a special appearance on Thursday.
Reba McEntire was voted the greatest woman in country music over the last 20 years in a poll by CMT. No doubt Reba is one of the few artists to have a career last that long, man or woman. But many other female singers chose to focus on family rather than career (Faith Hill), got tired of the limelight (Shania Twain) or shot themselves in the foot (Dixie Chicks.) Check out the complete list and tell us your favorite female country singer.
The women of country music are being honored tonight on CBS. It was on this day, back in 1955, when Reba McEntire was born in Oklahoma. It was at the age of 5 Reba began to sing--it was in her family band called the "Singing McEntires," consisting of her and her siblings. It wasn't until 1976 when she recorded her first single--"I Don't Want to be a One-Night Stand" that kicked-off her career as not only as a singer, but also as an actress, author and clothing designer.
ABC is ringing in the holidays with some country Christmas. Rascal Flatts, Kellie Pickler, Darius Rucker, Reba, Martina McBride, Little Big Town also stopped by to help ring in the holidays. It's on ABC at 9:30pm. Want a sneek peek?
