My wife thinks it's crazy but I cook for our cat Fenway. It's not really "cooking" per se but I do warm up her food in the microwave because a vet once told me--true or not--that a cat's palate is very sensitive to cold and since I keep the opened can of food in the fridge she'd be happier if I warmed it up. Apparently I am not the only one. A recent Petsmart survey says about 40% of pet owners bake or cook for their pets. I have since come across several cook books for pets. Check out these recipes.

My wife and I went to the Stevens-Swan Humane Society Friday on a mission. After our cat, Alice, passed away in January we didn't think we would want another cat but time heals all--or at least most--wounds and decided to give a shelter cat a new lease on the good life. It was a hard to choose but, in the end, a beautiful black and white 2 year old girl made it clear she wanted to come home with us. Now the question was "what do we name her?"

What happens when a stampede of about 10 puppies "attack" you? If you answered over-the-top cuteness, you are correct. Although, it's all fun and games with puppies until their little, razor sharp teeth puncture skin. But, it comes with the territory when you roughhouse with puppies. In this video, someone unleashes a stampede of puppies and a guy is playfully swarmed by them. And, it's all fun and games until they start to bite. In the words of the guy on the video, "Ouch, gosh dang it!" Cute stuff.
