Norman Schwarzkopf Dead At 78
Retired General Norman Schwarzkopf died Thursday at his home in Tampa, Florida after battling a long illness. Schwarzkopf, a highly decorated veteran, became famous during the first Persian Gulf War as commander of Operating Desert Storm in 1991.
